Paintings and Prints by David Fallows from the Cairngorms National Park,
Scotland the Beautiful and the Wider World
When I was very young, i used to draw on anything - from the back of a bus ticket to the bathroom wall! My perceptive mother encouraged me and bought me materials to work with, then from just eleven years old, i was trained in oils and went to weekend art school sessions at the Laird School of Art in Birkenhead. I sold my first painting when I was twelve and never looked back. After years of painting in oils, I switched to watercolour, and now work in a wide range of media including watercolour, oil, acrylic and pastel. My work is in private collections in over twenty countries including the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Thailand and all stops in between!
Working in watercolour, oil, acrylic, pastel and mixed media to produce original paintings ensures that I never tire of the artistic challenge, from the freshness of a watercolour to the careful depth of overpainting in oil, or the dust-laden atmosphere of vibrant soft pastels. Limited Edition Prints are then produced from some of my work.
Where I Iive, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, is a never-ending tapestry of wonderful landscape - some of the best in the world. And yet, travelling through Scotland and around the Work, inspiration lies in wait wherever I care to look. This world is a magnificent place!
